Submission Overview

Types of Publications

The main article types are as follows:

Original Articles - Comprehensive reports of original research that provide new insights, detailed methodology, complete data analysis, and well-grounded conclusions.

Reviews - Critical and systematic overviews of existing literature. This category includes both narrative reviews and systematic reviews. Reviews should summarize, analyze, and synthesize current knowledge while highlighting controversies, identifying knowledge gaps, and outlining future research directions.

Meta-Analyses - Quantitative reviews that apply rigorous statistical methods to combine data from multiple studies, providing high-level evidence. Must include clear methodology, search strategy, and statistical approach.

Short Communications - Brief reports of novel findings, pilot studies, or preliminary data that make a significant contribution but do not require a full-length article.

Outbreak Reports - Concise accounts of emerging disease events, epidemics, or public health threats. Should include background, case descriptions, epidemiological data, control measures, and implications.

Submission Process

All manuscripts are submitted through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) Platform. The corresponding author is responsible for managing the submission and for all communication throughout the peer-review process. It is the responsibility of the submitting author to confirm that every listed co-author meets the criteria for authorship and has reviewed and approved the final version of the manuscript before submission. Authors are required to create an account on the submission portal before uploading their work.

Authorship Criteria

Authorship is reserved for individuals who have made substantial contributions to the work. To qualify as an author, each contributor should meet all the following criteria:

  1. Contribution to the work – Significant involvement in the conception or design of the study, or in the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data.
  2. Manuscript development – Participation in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.
  3. Approval of the final version – Review and approval of the version of the manuscript to be published.
  4. Accountability – Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work, ensuring that questions related to accuracy or integrity are appropriately addressed.

Cover Letter

A cover letter should be included with each manuscript submission stating that:

  1. Neither the manuscript nor any parts of its content are currently under consideration or published in another journal.
  2. All authors have approved the manuscript and agree with its submission to the journal.

Reviewer Suggestion

During manuscript submission, authors are requested to suggest three potential reviewers with appropriate expertise to evaluate the work. For each proposed reviewer, please provide the full name, institutional affiliation, professional address, ORCID iD (if available), and a valid email address (institutional email preferred). The editorial team will consider these suggestions, but is under no obligation to use them and may select alternative reviewers at its discretion. To ensure independence and avoid conflicts of interest, recommended reviewers must not be current collaborators of any author, must not have co-authored a publication with any of the authors within the past three years, and must be affiliated with institutions different from those of all manuscript authors.
